Safety Tips

Your safety is our top priority. While we do everything we can to keep the Geek Meet Club community safe, please follow these important guidelines when using the app or meeting someone in person.

Protect Your Personal and Financial Information

  • Never send money or share your bank details, passwords, or any other financial information with anyone you meet through the app.
  • Be cautious when sharing personal details such as your full name, phone number, home address, workplace, or social media profiles.
  • If someone asks you for money, gifts, or sensitive information, report them immediately via the in-app report function or by emailing hello@geekmeetclub.co.uk.

Meeting in Person

  • Take your time before agreeing to meet. Only meet when you feel comfortable and confident.
  • Always meet in a public place where there are other people around (for example, a café, restaurant, or park during the day).
  • Tell a trusted friend or family member who you’re meeting, where you’re going, and when you expect to be home.
  • Arrange your own transport and make sure you have a way to leave if you feel uncomfortable. Avoid relying on someone you’ve just met for travel.

Stay on the Platform

  • Keep your conversations within the Geek Meet Club app. Scammers often try to move chats to other platforms (such as WhatsApp or email) to avoid detection.
  • If you’re suspicious, you can perform a reverse image search (for example, using PimEyes or Google Images) to check if a profile photo appears elsewhere online.

If You See Something That Worries You

  1. Use the Report /Block button ,its the three dots in the top right corner of a members profile.
  2. Or email hello@geekmeetclub.co.uk with a short description of what happened.

All reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Where necessary, we will cooperate with UK law enforcement authorities in accordance with the Online Safety Act 2023, the Data Protection Act 2018, and other relevant UK legislation.

Enjoy our club and stay safe.
