MARVEL all the upcoming releases for the perfect superhero date

After the pandemic-induced drought of new cinema and TV releases, Marvel fans have lots to look forward to in 2021! Here at Geek Meet, we are so excited to see what’s coming in Phase 4!

Cinemas are now open, so it’s time to line up some Marvel viewing geeky dates!

Loki TV series (June 2021)

Tom Hiddleston returns as villain Loki, the God of Mischief in this highly anticipated show. Available on Disney+, the series is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Black Widow movie (9 July 2021)

After its original 2020 release date was a casualty of the pandemic, Black Widow will finally be released in July. Oscar-nominee Scarlett Johansen stars as the Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha has to revisit her past life as a spy before she became an Avenger.

What If…? TV series (Summer 2021)

Animated series What If…? makes its Disney+ debut this summer. A must for all Marvel fans, it explores key Marvel stories, but with characters and events swapped around.

Exactly which stories and characters will feature have not been officially confirmed, but there is speculation that one episode could feature an alternative retelling of Thor: Ragnarok, starring Iron Man, Tony Stark instead of Thor.

Shang-Chi: And the Legend of the Ten Rings movie (3 September 2021)

After a series of release push-backs because of covid-19, Shang-Chi: And the Legend of the Ten Rings is finally set for a September cinema release. The film stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organisation.

It promises to be a treat for Marvel and martial arts film fans alike.

Eternals movie (5 November 2021)

Angelina Jolie, Kit Harington and Selma Hayek lead the cast of the next Marvel blockbuster to hit the big screen this autumn.

Eternals tells the story of a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilisations.

Hawkeye TV series (Late 2021)

Another Disney+ series, Hawkeye is awaiting a release date but is promised for late 2021.

Taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, it introduces Young Avenger, Hawkeye, aka Kate Bishop, who’ll be played by Hailee Steinfield.

Ms. Marvel (Late 2021)

Yet another Marvel series coming to Disney+ later this year is Ms. Marvel.

The story centres on Kamala Khan, a teenage Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. Kamala is a good student, an avid gamer and loves superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel. She struggles to fit in at home and at school: until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to.

Spider-Man 3: No Way Home (17 December 2021)

If you’re looking for a Christmas blockbuster, this has to be it! Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man in this long-awaited action-packed sequel.

Although there have been rumours and claims of leaks, to date the plot remains a closely guarded secret, but we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait!
