Community Guidelines

At Geek Meet Club , we believe that real-life community is very important. When people come together, they create new possibilities for each other. Ideas spread, networks form, movements start. At its simplest, life is just better when you have people to enjoy it with.

Geek Meet Clubs mission is to help you to fulfil your life by finding the communities that will help you to thrive.

Geek Meet Club members must be UK residents and at least 18 years old. Meetup groups and events are targeted to people over the age of 18.

Geek Meet Club profiles are intended to represent real people .Our members profiles must be honest and authentic.

*Please note that we do NOT as yet carry out formal ID checks .

All members should be open about who they are, and their intentions.

Creating fake accounts, malicious accounts, or accounts meant to impersonate another person, is prohibited on Geek Meet Club.

Respecting people’s time, attention, personal choices, and personal boundaries is essential to creating safe and trusting communities. Be respectful in interactions with people and in content posted on the platform. We monitor the site constantly and restrict behaviour’s that are dishonest, undermine the integrity of the platform, violate personal boundaries, or serve to intentionally upset people.

Geek Meet Club enforces against behaviors that are threatening, intentionally malicious, or personally harmful–physically, emotionally, or mentally.

Harassment and bullying are not allowed on Geek Meet Club We will immediately remove content that publicly shames or degrades a private individual. 
Members should first contact the team hello@geekmeetclub.co.uk to report anything at all.

Groups must not contain content or promote events that conceal or misrepresent the primary purpose of the group or its events, including: Groups and events must not contain pornography or publicly shared nude or sexual photos.

Safety tips

• Your safety is incredibly important to us. So please follow these guidelines:
• Keep your financial information private at all times,do not on any account transfer any money.
• Be very careful when giving out your personal information, such as your full name ,phone number or address social media details
• Feel comfortable before meeting up with them
• Always arrange to meet in a public space
• Tell a trusted person about your meetup. Tell them when you expect to be home afterwards and contact them to tell them you’re home
• Always know how you’re getting home, You must be in control of your own transport arrangements
• Stay communicating via our platform,spammers will try to get you off the app as quickly as possible.
• Do reverse image search,such as using PimEyes if you are suspicious.

Code of conduct

• We won’t accept insulting or bullying other members.
• Be civil we won’t accept the use of foul language. 
• No advertising. Don’t use the club to advertise yours or someone else’s business, page, fundraiser or website. 
• Use the English language only.
• Stick to the topic. We only allow posts and comments related to the group’s activity. 
• No spamming. 
• We do not tolerate any kind of inappropriate behaviour
• Be mindful that only members displaying a heart are specifically looking for dating
• No sleazy messages or inappropriate photos to be sent
• No discussions involving religion or politics.
• Report rule-breaking. If you see a post/comment that violates our rules, report it to the admins — do not verbally attack the author of said post/comment.
